The Meaning Of Passover To Christians

If a group of Christians were asked to explain the significance of the Jewish feast known as Passover, an average Christian might likely struggle to convey its importance accurately. My question suggests that there could be a gap in knowledge or understanding among Christians. Why is the Passover feast such a vital Jewish tradition? This is a serious concern, particularly because our Heavenly Father gave Moses strict plans to observe this Passover event. Every Christian knows that Jesus was crucified on the Cross, yet they might not have fully recognized the significance of Christ being depicted as the ritually sacrificed Lamb of God. Furthermore, this annual holy observance is so significant that ADONAI of Israel has commanded its observance throughout eternity.

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep -- it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. Exodus 12:14
The Jewish Bible states it this way.
14 “‘This will be a day for you to remember and celebrate as a festival to ADONAI; from generation to generation you are to celebrate it by a perpetual regulation. Exodus 12:14
Adonai, GOD of Israel, moved Moses to create the reality of the Jewish people opening their home to the Lamb of GOD, as a houseguest for a whole week. Bringing the Lamb a house once home made the Lamb feel like one of the family, likewise the family became quite familiar with the little cute, lovable Lamb. The God of Israel created a unique bond between the family and the baby sheep, ensuring that when the lamb's tiny throat was slit, the family experienced profound emotions.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house:
4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Exodus 12:3-4
At the Lamb's death, he was undeniably innocent, and despite his deep love for the family, they betrayed him, taking his blood to cover themselves. Then, the God of Israel commanded them to consume what they had killed, ensuring that nothing remained until morning.
8 And they shall eat -- the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. Exodus 12:8-10

At the end, Israel would take the Lamb of God into their bodies and become one with the Lamb. While Israel is warned by the Torah not to eat anything sacrificed to other gods, eating the Lamb was the act of having communion with their god by consuming His Body.
Notwithstanding, I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. Revelation 2:20
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever. Revelation 5:11-13
We observe the work of God, where the Lord confidently embraced the innocence of the Lamb in the face of the power and authority of the Law, which pronounces death. The virtue of the Lamb caused ADONAI to elevate it to Righteousness, and we joyfully give glory to the Lamb by the standard of righteousness.
“Great and Precious Promises”

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, -- giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:3-8
